Christine Tam
Natural Capital Project Director
Tam is the main go-between for TNC, WWF, and Stanford staff. She also coordinates communication among demonstration sites in California, China, Hawaii, and Tanzania, developing project priorities and strategies. In addition, she is the lead scientist for the Natural Capital Project’s China demonstration site. Tam comes from TNC, where she served as Deputy Director of Conservation Programs in China. This followed four years in TNC’s California program, guiding conservation planning throughout the state. Her interests include community-based conservation, natural resource management and capacity building, and conservation planning. She received her B.A. in Biology from Harvard University, and her M.S. in Resource Ecology and Management from the University of Michigan.
Chen MinEcosystem Services China Program Manager
Chen Min is coordinating the Natural Capital Project's efforts in China, developing relationships with key national and local stakeholders, engaging natural resources experts, and working with and supporting the ecosystem service-related programs of both TNC and WWF. Chen Min worked for 4 years with the European Commission as the Project Manager in charge of European Union's $40 million biodiversity program in China. She also has nearly a decade of experience in China's State Forestry Administration. Chen Min received a Master's degree from the University of Queensland, Australia, in Environmental Management, and has specialized in natural resource management, environmental policy, and sustainable development.

Professor Li Dianmo graduated from Department of Biostatistics at Fudan University (China) and completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Entomology and Zoology at Michigan State University in 1983, where he receive a "Distinguished Visiting Scholar" certificate. He became an Associate Professor in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Science in 1985 and Full Professor in 1989. He was a Visiting Professor in the College of Nature Resources at Ohio State University (1989) and in the Department of Entomology and Zoology at Michigan State University and New Mexico State University (1991-1992). He has published more than 150 scientific papers in top international and Chinese ecology and entomology journals. He is listed in the UNESCO China Experts Databas and since 2005, he has been the Beijing Program Director at The Nature Conservancy - China.
